iPhone Signal Issues, Jobs’ Response

By now most of you have probably heard about how the new iPhone 4g loses all cellular signal when you touch the lower left hand side of the phone. Well when Steve Jobs was questioned about this design flaw, he responded, not with an apology, but with the reasoning that the error is in the USER and not the phone. Simply put he said we should all change the way we hold our phone. If you hold your phone with your left hand, you’re likely to experience a plethora of dropped calls unless you only use your fingertips to grip the phone for the duration of your call. Or you could become righty. Jobs goes on to say that if you still have a problem with this and don’t want to change the way you hold your phone, then you should buy their $30 dollar iPhone case which will “prevent” the user error.

So in summary: They make a beautiful phone that is made entirely of glass but if you drop said phone you are screwed. However, you can buy the Apple Care insurance and you will be covered for drops if you have one, so you buy it. Alternatively, you could by a case, which makes the phone thicker, isn’t quite as “cool”, and may not protect the screen. Next, they improve cell signal by making the entire metal band on the outside of the phone an antenna. Sounds good on paper, but any freshman engineering major could tell you it’s a terrible idea. Now you either hold your phone by your fingertips (increasing the chance of dropping it) or you shell out $30 for a case (which probably costs 50 cents to make). Sounds like a great money making scheme, which is so very typical of Apple.

I guess this is how your supposed to hold it...??

  1. So why to consumers continue to invest in these products? I think everyone knows about the ridiculous costs associated with Apple products. It seems that there is a convenience factor… I’m not really sure.

The answer to that question…. is well this:
    http://uncyclopedia.wikia.com/wiki/Cult_of_Apple

It appears Steve Jobs has finally accomplished what he dreamed of… To undermine the Church of Scientology and erect his own soverign “religion.”

    Enter: The Cult of Apple.

I believe followers of this “religion” must invest certain amounts of money into the church in order to achieve higher levels of “enlightenment.” Yes, very similar to the ideology of Scientology, but Steve Jobs has done one better. By following his religion, not only do you get a cool product that you can flash around to all your friends, but you get the privilege of knowing that there is always room to become even more “higher.” Yes, by conveniently leaving out common features in its products, Steve Jobs allows his followers to pay tribute year after year as he unleashes his godly features that the followers of “Apple” have surrendered when they were “Baptised.”

We should be wary of this upcoming religion as more and more of these Churches are put up in cities everywhere, with their glass walls and ginormous Apple Idols overlooking its followers.

This is not a movement, this appears to be a revolution of the weak and retarded. And it must be crushed.
